About IoTServa

What is IoTServa?

IoTServa is an IoT platform from VYROX that reads BACnet, Modbus, KNX, MQTT, LoRa and BLE devices, normalizes every reading into one tag model, and provides history, alerts, rules, dashboards and an open API.

Who is IoTServa for?

Building, facility, plant and energy teams, and the integrators who serve them, who have equipment on more than one protocol and want one view of it.

Is IoTServa a replacement for my BMS or SCADA?

No. It reads from them and from the devices beneath them. Existing control logic stays where it is.

Protocols

Which protocols are supported?

BACnet (IP and MS/TP), Modbus (RTU and TCP), KNX (through KNX IP), MQTT, LoRaWAN uplinks and BLE through gateways.

Do I need to describe each Modbus device by hand?

You can, or send the manual and the engineering team builds a reusable device profile.

Does IoTServa replace my LoRaWAN network server?

No. It receives data from your network server or gateways and handles everything after the radio.

Can IoTServa locate assets with BLE?

It can estimate which gateway or room a tag is nearest to. It does not claim metre-level positioning.

Deployment

Where does IoTServa run?

At the edge on a gateway or industrial PC, on a server in your premises, in the cloud, or a mix of these.

What happens if the internet connection drops?

With drivers on an edge gateway, collection continues at the site and data is forwarded when the connection returns.

What do you need to start a pilot?

A list of devices with makes and models, the protocols they speak, manuals or register maps where relevant, the exported ETS project for KNX, and network access for a gateway.

Security

Can IoTServa write to my equipment?

It can, and writes are switched off by default for a read-only site. Writing is a separate permission and is logged.

Should the equipment network be on the internet?

No. Keep it segmented and let a gateway connect outward instead of exposing devices.

Does IoTServa hold a security certification?

No certification is claimed on this site. Ask about the controls you require and we will answer against your checklist.

Still Have a Question? Ask an Engineer.

Tell us which protocols are on site. We will scope a pilot that reads your real devices.
